stray cat with swollen eyeI think the cat (stray on my street) was in a fight a week or so ago...His one eye has been watering & its red...the white part at the corner of eye is pink & the eye itself looks funny. The outer area of the eye is swollen. The cat let me use a cottonball soaked in water warm on the eye once but I have not been able to get near enough to try it again. What else can I do to help the cat or will it get better on its own? The cat is kinda crossed-eye so I am concerned that the good eye is damaged....he acts like he can't see real well. Thanks for any help that you can give me!! I don't think I can get it in a carrier to take it to the vet. I have tried to put some antibotics in the food but I am not sure if he ate it.

cat feline infectious peritonitis fipis there any effective treatment for fip (my 9mo male neutered cat has been diagnosed with this)? holistic liquid immune support? or interferon? is there any hope he will survive this?
cat with dry nose and swollen lipI have 6 cats, all healthy. one of them (6mo DSH male neutered) has had a dry nose the entire time I've had him. He gets crusties in his nose, the amount has been decreasing signifigantly and we put plain chapstick on his nose twice a day. he drinks and eats, plays with the other cats, doesnt lose his balance, is friendly, does not appear to be in any pain at all, but his upper "lip" has begun to look swollen now, it just happened recently, and its not very red, just light pink and slighty darker pink, its only the upper "lip" on both sides. He does sneeze sometimes (usually right after he drinks as he gets water up his nose). Im just worried a bit about the swollen look as it just happened. is there anything I can do to get the swelling down?
kitten with diarrheaMy kitten (5mo female domestic short hair) keeps getting bad diarrhea and as she is long-haired, keeps soiling her fur. She has only recently been allowed outside and I think she may have been eating things she shouldn't. What should I do to stop the tummy trouble?
Cat having problems urinatingMy cat (10yo male neutered Siamese) has been going to his litter box several times an hour throughout the day only to urinate a few drops. I am getting really worried about him as this is not his normal routine. He seems to be eating normal, he is however, overweight a little. We just got a puppy 2 weeks ago and he seems a little stressed. Can you please shed some light on why he is going to his litter box so much and only producing a few drops of urine each time? |

Dog with fleas
Last night my 7yo female neutered maltese was scatching a little & I noticed that the day before she did a little too. I rolled her over to look through her and found a flea...then 2 more a little bit later. I immediately ran to the store and bought Sergeants flea control that you put on their back between the shoulder blades & put that on her immediatedly. I washed all of her bedding & have vaccumed the house at least 3 times since. We have a huge 2 level house and the dog is 99.9% of the time on our main level in our living room & dining room. I found only 2 today...and that was early this morning...I have not seen any since...but am scared to death of how many fleas are in our house that I cannot see. I am afraid they are crawling everywhere & don't know where to start. The dog sometimes goes upstairs in our bedrooms.....I am afraid these pests could be in closets & etc....any advice would be greatly appreciated! - Click
