Cat vomiting after exploratory surgery

My cat (2yo Silver Persian female neutered) had exploratory surgery 4 days ago. She seems to have an appetite, but vomits if the tiniest amount of food is swallowed. A biopsy was taken in her stomach at the time of the exploratory. Can you tell me possible reasons why she is still vomiting?

Cat with chlamydia

My 9 yr old cat (orange tabby female neutered Domestic short hair) has been diagnosed with severe Chlamydia, within the last year, causing her to wheeze & cough continuously, runny-stuffy nose, wet eyes, everything. My vet won't prescribe any more Zeniquin because continued use can cause retinal damage, but it's the only thing that seems to help her breath easier. What more can I do?

Wheezy cat

My kitty samson is getting up there in age (he's 8, mixed breed, neutered) and recently I noticed that he's been weezing a lot. I've had him since I was young so he's always, until recently, been an outdoor/indoor kitty. Now he's stictly indoors since I've moved two months ago. At first when he was weezing I thought it was hairballs, but I've never seen him throw up. He just gets really low down to the ground, sticks his tongue all the way out and starts coughing. I pet him for a little while and then he's okay. He doesn't seem to be bothered about his little "ritual" after he's done at all. I've tried giving him hairball medicated food and treats and tried to brush him on a regular basis and what not, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Does he just have hairballs? Or could it be something more serious?

Cat with possible cysts in eyes

My leo (8yo Himalayan male neutered) has cysts inside his eyes. They seem to get bigger every year. The vet I took him to, said he needs an eye specialist. Will they be able to make him see more than shadows? What can they do for him? The vet said it was trama? Also, Leo marks everything. Usually were my partener's stuff, or special room is.They get along great. I don't understand. I keep the litter clean.I spray that feliway stuff around. I make sure he gets attention. Basically he is a very spoiled darling. Why does he ruin every place We live in by marking?I am terrified of putting him down. I know he isn't well though. his eyes are leaking like tears sometimes.Drainage is clear. His pupils are very dialated and it looks like he has a whiteish coating, but it could also be a reflection of the cyst inside his eyes.He has good and bad days. Some days he just lays around the house. He hasn't played in weeks now. Just stays close to me and sleeps and eats...and marks. He finds his way around ok.Sight seems to be the same. he got outside and ate some grass. He got fleas the one time he went out!Now I want to put advantage flea stuff on him.Is that okay?

cat with lump on shoulder

He (2yo male tabby neutered) lives both in and out, spending most of his time in. He has something under his skin on his right side, just behind the shoulder. Its about four inches long, crooked, I woul say a little larger, in diameter than a pipe cleaner. It doesn't seem to hurt him but he knows when you are feeling of it, and it seems to make him uncomfortable to have you continue. A tumor perhaps?

cat sneezing a lot

My cat has started sneezing, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row. At first I thought it was just a hairball (he is a Norwegian Forest cat, 11yo male neutered), but he's not vomiting or coughing. Now he also has a little discharge from his eyes. He seems his usual happy self and is eating normally. What could be wrong with him?

Vet question of the day

Add to Cat losing hair with itchy skin
About a month ago my female neutered Siamese mix cat lost all the shine in her coat of long hair, and refuses to come into the house, preferring to remain in the garage. She is shedding her hair and it comes out in big clumps. The skin on her back near her tail is flaking off, like large dandruff, and the hairs have tiny black things on them near the base. This area is very itchy and when it is touched, she goes into an involuntary biting spasm. She also has small scabs on her skin spread all over her body. - Click here to read the answer
