Cat with swollen lymph node
Two weeks ago our kitten (6mo neutered male tabby) Buddy had his front claws removed at the vet's. At some point they examined him and noticed that he had swollen lymph nodes in the back of his legs. We were told that he may have Feline Leukemia and to keep him seperate from our other cats for a month until he could be retested (he tested negative a month and a half ago). We have been feeling his popliteal lymph nodes since then and it seems that only one seems a little bit swollen and the other seems normal. Is it really possible that he has Felv? Wouldn't all his lymph nodes be swollen if that were the case. We have also been treating him for diarrhea with metronidazole. Beyond that he is very active, eating, playing, seems very healthy. Do you think he has Felv and what are the other possibilities for the swollen lymph node? |

Cat recovering from hepatic lipidosis-fatty liver disease
My Silver Tabby (8yo female neutered) is now recovering nicely, from Hepatic Lipidosis, and is eating and drinking on her own.She now weighs 8 pounds, and is active and playful.I can feel her ribs, but they have a covering of fat, so I'm wondering, is this a good weight for her? She eats about a quarter of a cup of Feline Iams Adult Maintenance a day, and that has recently increased a bit.Is that enough? Most of the time when I'm at work, she sleeps, and is active in the evening. Thanks!
