Giving cat phernergan
My 8yo female tabby cat (she's neutered) is vomiting repeatedly since this afternoon beginning about 2pm. She has not eaten any plant or foreign food matter nor dead animals. May I give her phenergan that I have on hand...it is 25mg, and she weighs about 10lbs. I use it for nausea and vomiting from a disease I am fighting myself. I simply want to help her if I can...my vet is out of town until a week from Monday is all. I don't want to hurt her. I thought perhaps if I could stop the vomiting for a few hours she would sleep off what ever it is that has upset her stomach so badly. There doesn't appear to be anything else wrong with her, other than being "grouchy". |

Cat wheezing and coughing
We have been feeding a feral stray cat (probably over 10 years old, he's a Domestic Short Haired neutered male) for 6 years now. We trapped him early on and had him vacinated and neutered. For years now he's been coughing and wheezing. At times he gets worse and has nasal and eye discharge but that eventually clears up. We trapped him again and took him to the vet. Several of his teeth fell out while being examined and he has severe dental disease. The vet said his coughing and wheezing were probably due to his dental disease and his lungs "didn't sound that bad". Have you heard of dental disease causing respiratory problems or should we go for another opinion?
