Dog rashesOur cocker spaniel has developed some sort of rash (like pimples) on his back and seems to scratch him self alot and biting his paws, butt, and genital area. What can it possibly be?
Dog lips changing colorWithin the last three days or so I've noticed that my dog's (a 3yo female neutered dachshund) lips that are normally black are turning pink. They have also become raw and red like almost blisters in small spots. What could that be? How do I treat it?
Dog with swollen faceI woke up this morning and found our dog with a very swollen right eye and ear. It is sensitive to touch and inside his ear is bright red. His right eye is swollen to just a slit and his left eye is somewhat swollen. His left ear is swollen slightly and is tender and somewhat red inside. He seems lethargic and not his playful self today. I can't think of anything he would have eaten or contacted out of our normal routine--he is a beloved member of our family. Is there anything I can do for him?
Dog with stomach rashMy dog is a 90 LB yellow lab, he developed a rash on his stomach area and by his private area. We had gone to the vet and he gave us shampoo but it does not seem to work. Then we noticed a wort looking like lump on his back which oozes a clear substance. We have been watching this lump and noticed that he has now developed quite a few down his spine area. When you pet him and go over any of these lumps, they make his leg twitch very fast. To us, it seems that these lumps may be affecting his nerve system. Can you PLEASE tell us or advise us of any thing that can or could be done. THANK YOU.
Dog with umbilical herniaAfter Getting Our new Baby(Maltese) 8 weeks old home 2 days ago, We have discovered that she has a Hernia, about where the belly buuton is. It does not pertrude to far, and when she lies on her back you can barely feel it. My Q's are, Will this Go Away? or Can I tape it until it heals?(like place a quarter over it and a bandage around her tummy) My son had a hernia as a baby and the doctor said do that and it worked. Or will she need to have surgery? Also- VERY IMPORTANT.. I bought her for breeding. Will this affect her having Puppies?
Doberman losing hairMy 2.5 year old Doberman sheds a lot and has had thinning hair more and more as she grows older. We've checked her for thyroid problems and it's normal. We've put her on a hypoallergenic diet. Still she sheds a lot and her hair is getting so sparse I am worried that she will have none left soon! Help! |

Cat losing hair with itchy skin
About a month ago my female neutered Siamese mix cat lost all the shine in her coat of long hair, and refuses to come into the house, preferring to remain in the garage. She is shedding her hair and it comes out in big clumps. The skin on her back near her tail is flaking off, like large dandruff, and the hairs have tiny black things on them near the base. This area is very itchy and when it is touched, she goes into an involuntary biting spasm. She also has small scabs on her skin spread all over her body. - Click
