dog with recurrence of mammary tumorLast year my Belgian Shepard (7yo neutered - after the tumor) Heidi had a tumor removed on her mammary gland. The vet also removed the gland and she was spayed at that time. The tumor was cancerous but the gland was benign. This week I noticed two more cysts near the same site. The vet said that this was unusual also they felt firm. Monday Heidi will have the two cyst removed and a chest x-ray done to see if there is any sign of cancer in her lung area. My question is if there is no mammary gland why would the cyst grow back and since she was spade and hormones are not being produced what are the chances of these cyst being malignant. Please add any additional info you can and what would be your advice.
dog depressed with frequent urinationMy husband and I adopted a very loving dog Beagley (8yo female neutered Beagle). She went pee in the house for two days after we got her and that was all. About 6 months ago we adopted another femailebeagle from TN. she had all her shots. they got along but Beagley seemed depressed and never quite bounced back fully though she still get excited alot. We noticed about 2 months ago she started to lose enjoyment in things she liked..she had less energy. Then about a month ago she started taking a really long time to take a pee. It came out in squirts or it would be a steady stream but a thin stream. shortly after she started to drink water more often and have piddles in the house. Sometimes the pee's are large and sometimes small. When I've caught her it is clear that are by accident, even surprising her. SHe has pee'd the bed a few times too. I took her to get an ultrasound and they found no blockage. We got a urinalysis done and the found lots of protein and white blood cells in her urine but no cancerous cells or bacteria. Finally I had blood work done and they said it was fine..no cushings or kidney disease. They suggested maybe it is behavioral but I know beagley adn this is not her. I have exhausted all my extra money on her and don't knw what to do but get her a doggie diaper. They even put her on amoxicillian and it did not help. I noticed a lump the other day on the right side of her neck. I think the md aspirated it a year ago and found it was fatty but I can't remember. She had two fat spots, one on her abdomen and anotehr on her chest but I think it was a different small spot on her neck. I desperately need some help for Beagley. What do you think it is????
puppy with gurgling tummyI have noticed in the past couple days off and on an audible gurgling in my dog's puppy. She (8mo border collie cross, neutered) hasn't had any change in eating habits, although she does have a bad habit of eating out of the garbage, and if there are any scraps on the ground eating those as well. We try to keep this to a minimum, but sometimes it is difficult to stop her. She hasnt had any change in her behavior or demeanor, her nose is still cold, and she is very active and happy. Should I be worried? Is this just a normal occurance of indigestion? I have looked up a condition called bloat, however, aside from the gurgling, she doesnt have any other symptoms. It doesnt appear to be getting worse. I have not noticed if she has had bowel movements in the backyard, although i imagine she has. Please help!
dog urinating around the houseOur dog Mia (5yo female neutered Labrador) has been urinating around the house. It's fairly inconsistent, but we'll find spots of urine in various places, such as the carpet, her bed, and our bed. We thought maybe it was a defensive reaction to our cat, but I'm starting to rule that out, because she'll urinate where she's lying, essentially urinating on herself. She hasn't exhibited any other abnormal behavior. Her stools are fine, etc. Any advice?
dog being restless at night uncomfortableEstee (5yo female neutered Maltese) was normal yesterday. She got up late last night to poop (normal) and then for the rest of the night, and this morning, she has been unable to get comfortable. She lays down and then sharply sits up. She looks at her back end, and her tail moves to the side, and she stretches her back and back legs continuously. She will only lay down for moments at a time, and cannot settle down at all. She wants up and down off of the bed, but WILL NOT jump off the bed now. She has been trying to sleep sitting up. She does have a knee cap that pops out, and does quite frequently jump off the bed, as she did last night, but this has never happened before. I can't tell what is bothering her exactly, and I don't want to make the Vet come in on a sunday, if it's not a problem.
dog with undescended testiclesThis is my first male papillon (7mo). I bought him for breeding. His testicles have not dropped yet. My vet says they won't. The breeder says they will. My question is, If they do not drop is there anything medical that can be done? This dog is a very rare color, I searched for a year to find him. Selling him would be my last resort. |

Female cat with bloody discharge from vagina
Our (1yo female DSH) neutered cat (neutered prior to our ownership) has had intermittent small volume bloody discharge from her vagina for the last 3 months. On exam her vulva had an ulcerated area and our veternarian is planning an exam under anesthesia later this week. She has no weight loss, a healthy appetite, and has had no change in activity. She is the only animal in our home. What do you believe this could be?
