Dog with white bumps and skin tags on tongue and lipsHi there - I have a 4 mo male English bulldog and I've never really paid much attention to his mouth before but just yesterday after I came home from work I noticed that he has little lumps on his tongue and skin tag like things on his lips - is this normal? Or is it something that I need to worry about?
Changing dog sleeping habits from bed to floorMy dog (4yo male neutered Jack Russell mix) has been sleeping with me in my bed since I first got him when he was 6 weeks old. I have loved having him sleep with me, but now I am dating someone who would like me to train my dog to sleep on the floor. This has been very difficult for me and my dog. I am looking for advice on how to help my dog get used to this new routine without having to punish him for something I have always allowed before. I would like him to be able to still sleep in my bedroom, just not on the bed. What should I do?
Giving up dog because of new babyI am pregnant and my husband is demanding that we give our dog (2yo male neutered Weimeraner) away. He has been my baby for the last 2 years. He thinks he is human and sits straight up on the couch and in bed. He's absolutely adorable. My husband won't take a chance with the baby; he says that's not safe or sanitary. I don't think I'll make it without him, I've been crying for a month now just dreading it. Anyway, my question is, "Will he make it?" I'm afraid that he will always remember me and feel that I abandoned him. I cant make it each day knowing he is just waiting forme to pick him up and crying and panicking. What do you think? Please tell me he'll forget soon.
Dog with swollen belly and bloody stoolMy dog's (7yo male neutered German Shepherd Dog) belly is looks swollen in addition I have found blood in his stool.
Dog with lumps behind the jawI recently noticed some swelling directly behind the jaw on my 10 yr old female neutered boxer. There are 4 distinct lumps that move freely (2 on either side) and do not cause her any pain or discomfort. She is eating and drinking well and her energy level is fine. She is a very active dog - most people think she is still a puppy. She has had reactions to insect bites in the past - usually resulting in lumps over her entire body, with a large number on her head and face so that was what I thought when I first noticed the lumps in her neck. When I checked her again this morning, the lumps have not spread from her neck. She is acting completely normal - should I be freaking out more that I already am??
Dog mouthing toad and salivating nowDog (11mo male neutered Chocolate Labrador) may have mouthed or eaten a toad. Was drooling excessively, but rinsed out mouth and appears to have stopped. Should we be concerned about any problems with toads? |

Dog with fleas
Last night my 7yo female neutered maltese was scatching a little & I noticed that the day before she did a little too. I rolled her over to look through her and found a flea...then 2 more a little bit later. I immediately ran to the store and bought Sergeants flea control that you put on their back between the shoulder blades & put that on her immediatedly. I washed all of her bedding & have vaccumed the house at least 3 times since. We have a huge 2 level house and the dog is 99.9% of the time on our main level in our living room & dining room. I found only 2 today...and that was early this morning...I have not seen any since...but am scared to death of how many fleas are in our house that I cannot see. I am afraid they are crawling everywhere & don't know where to start. The dog sometimes goes upstairs in our bedrooms.....I am afraid these pests could be in closets & etc....any advice would be greatly appreciated! - Click
