Dog with bowel and urinary accidents in the house
My 9.5 yo female neutered beagle has been drinking water more than she normally does and has had several accidents in the house, both urine and bowel movements. Her bowel movements have some blood and pus-like substance in them. I suspect that when we were at my son's for Christmas that she got into some bones out in his yard. She has never dealt with bones well but usually throws them up. She also got into my husbands jerky stash about two weeks ago and ate quite a bit of that which I would think would be out of her system by now, but wanted to mention it. If she has bone chips or larger pieces of bone in her digestive system how can I help her pass them? She does not have the ravenous appetite that she usually has. What can I do for her? |

Cat recovering from hepatic lipidosis-fatty liver disease
My Silver Tabby (8yo female neutered) is now recovering nicely, from Hepatic Lipidosis, and is eating and drinking on her own.She now weighs 8 pounds, and is active and playful.I can feel her ribs, but they have a covering of fat, so I'm wondering, is this a good weight for her? She eats about a quarter of a cup of Feline Iams Adult Maintenance a day, and that has recently increased a bit.Is that enough? Most of the time when I'm at work, she sleeps, and is active in the evening. Thanks!
