Dog with heart failure
2 weeks ago, I noticed Molli (9yo female neutered Cocker Spaniel) coughing a little. I made an appointment at the vet & after an x-ray & an ultrasound, heart failure was diagnosed. she was prescribed enalapril & lasix. She has been taking the meds for 2 weeks now & just a couple of days ago, I began adding omega 3 & Co Q-10. Last evening, she began to "hack", much worse than when she started. I stopped giving her the omega 3 & Co Q-10 in her last meal. Could the natural meds be doing this, or is it likely the enalapril or lasix is the culprit? She is scheduled to have another blood test in about 2 weeks. I also purchased L-carnitine & taurine supplements for her. Will anything I've mentioned interact. What do you suggest I do? |
