Dog with shivering or trembling in hindlegs
P. J.'s (5yo male neutered Border Collie) hind legs--sometimes either, sometimes both-- often shake or "vibrate" while he's standing to sniff, eat, or sometimes while he's lying down. Strangers who see this often think he's cold or nervous, but it happens very frequently and in very warm as well as very cold temperatures. It can happen anywhere, including home, the park, etc. He's very healthy, active and affectionate. This doesn't seem to bother him, but it worries me. Can you provide some insights as to what causes this leg shaking? Sometimes while he's lying beside me, I can feel the vibrations transmit through his back. At other times, he doesn't shake at all. |
