puppy with gurgling tummy
I have noticed in the past couple days off and on an audible gurgling in my dog's puppy. She (8mo border collie cross, neutered) hasn't had any change in eating habits, although she does have a bad habit of eating out of the garbage, and if there are any scraps on the ground eating those as well. We try to keep this to a minimum, but sometimes it is difficult to stop her. She hasnt had any change in her behavior or demeanor, her nose is still cold, and she is very active and happy. Should I be worried? Is this just a normal occurance of indigestion? I have looked up a condition called bloat, however, aside from the gurgling, she doesnt have any other symptoms. It doesnt appear to be getting worse. I have not noticed if she has had bowel movements in the backyard, although i imagine she has. Please help! |

Cat wheezing and coughing
We have been feeding a feral stray cat (probably over 10 years old, he's a Domestic Short Haired neutered male) for 6 years now. We trapped him early on and had him vacinated and neutered. For years now he's been coughing and wheezing. At times he gets worse and has nasal and eye discharge but that eventually clears up. We trapped him again and took him to the vet. Several of his teeth fell out while being examined and he has severe dental disease. The vet said his coughing and wheezing were probably due to his dental disease and his lungs "didn't sound that bad". Have you heard of dental disease causing respiratory problems or should we go for another opinion?
