Puppy with turned eye
I have purchased a puppy (female English bulldog) from a breeder I found online that lives about 5 hours from me. I haven't received the puppy yet because she is only 5.5 weeks old - I will be getting her at 8 weeks. I have been receiving pictures of the puppy from the breeders and every picture I've received the puppy's left eye is looking towards the far left. Even when it appears as if she is looking straight ahead her left eye is to the far left. It seems to me that she may have a lazy left eye. I have asked the breeder about this but haven't heard back yet. If it's true that she has a lazy eye would you recommend that we still purchase her? What can you tell me about pets having lazy eyes? How will this effect her health & personality? We visited her several weeks ago and didn't notice her eye because she was sleeping about 95% of the time. Her brothers and sisters were more active and in pictures I've seen of the other pups they always seem more active and lively. The dog we are getting always looks sad in her pictures. Is this a sign that something is wrong? PLease advise. I really appreciate your time and help. Thank you so much. |

Cat wheezing and coughing
We have been feeding a feral stray cat (probably over 10 years old, he's a Domestic Short Haired neutered male) for 6 years now. We trapped him early on and had him vacinated and neutered. For years now he's been coughing and wheezing. At times he gets worse and has nasal and eye discharge but that eventually clears up. We trapped him again and took him to the vet. Several of his teeth fell out while being examined and he has severe dental disease. The vet said his coughing and wheezing were probably due to his dental disease and his lungs "didn't sound that bad". Have you heard of dental disease causing respiratory problems or should we go for another opinion?
