Dog bleeding from mouth
Question :
My dog is fairly old (13 yo female neutered black Labrador) and tonight she has been bleeding from the mouth. Also she is emitting a horrible odor from her mouth. Do you think this is a life threatening situation such as cancer etc, or could it be just a mouth problem? P.S. She still has a voracious appetite.

Bone cancer in dog
My 9yo male neutered Golden Retriever dog died 11/18 this year. He had bone cancer when I got him. His general health held up well under my holistic vet (I also had a regular vet for him). He had a robust appetite, clear eyes, great attitude, loved going for walks even with his bum leg. A few days ago, I had an appointment with my holistic vet and she prescribed some phosphorous for him. Right after giving him the phosphorous he lost his appetite completely and began to have severe breathing problems with coughing. My question - in your opinion could the phosphorous have caused a cardiac condition, in addition to the loss of appetite (which my holistic vet admits could happen) or was it just coincidental. I'm not out to cause any trouble I just want to know for the future. I have 3 other dogs that I don't want to make a mistake with if they need help down the line. - Click
