Dog with smelly breath
My girlfriend’s dog (13yo Cocker Spaniel, male neutered) has VERY severe bad breath. We love him but his breathing is so unpleasant, that his panting will soil a room. They have had him for years, and apparently he developed this problem slowly through his old age. Now that I’m dogsitting, I was wondering what could be done. We were trying to give him milkbones, but his gums started to bleed from chewing them. We’ve only been giving him “softer” food and treats since, but his breath is as bad as ever. It smells like he eats rotten garbage or like his teeth are decaying…Anyways, any advice would help. Thank you.
