Wheezy cat

My kitty samson is getting up there in age (he’s 8, mixed breed, neutered) and recently I noticed that he’s been weezing a lot. I’ve had him since I was young so he’s always, until recently, been an outdoor/indoor kitty. Now he’s stictly indoors since I’ve moved two months ago. At first when he was weezing I thought it was hairballs, but I’ve never seen him throw up. He just gets really low down to the ground, sticks his tongue all the way out and starts coughing. I pet him for a little while and then he’s okay. He doesn’t seem to be bothered about his little “ritual” after he’s done at all. I’ve tried giving him hairball medicated food and treats and tried to brush him on a regular basis and what not, but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Does he just have hairballs? Or could it be something more serious?

Cat with possible cysts in eyes

My leo (8yo Himalayan male neutered) has cysts inside his eyes. They seem to get bigger every year. The vet I took him to, said he needs an eye specialist. Will they be able to make him see more than shadows? What can they do for him? The vet said it was trama?

Also, Leo marks everything. Usually were my partener’s stuff, or special room is.They get along great. I don’t understand. I keep the litter clean.I spray that feliway stuff around. I make sure he gets attention. Basically he is a very spoiled darling. Why does he ruin every place We live in by marking?I am terrified of putting him down. I know he isn’t well though. his eyes are leaking like tears sometimes.Drainage is clear. His pupils are very dialated and it looks like he has a whiteish coating, but it could also be a reflection of the cyst inside his eyes.He has good and bad days. Some days he just lays around the house. He hasn’t played in weeks now. Just stays close to me and sleeps and eats…and marks. He finds his way around ok.Sight seems to be the same.

he got outside and ate some grass. He got fleas the one time he went out!Now I want to put advantage flea stuff on him.Is that okay?

Dog with clear skin lumps

We recently found a clear sac between the size of a piece of corn and a single pea on the neck of our dog filled with a clear liquid. (We also found a second, much smaller, 1/8-1/4 size of the first) on his side above his right leg. We took him to the vet, who aspirated it and set it off for analysis, and reported back that there were no cells found in the liquid at all, and that the pathologist listed 4 possible dx’s, which I can’t remember but can get for you, only 1 of which may be benign. (By the way, the smaller one had already burst when we got there and appeared to be healing over as a flake much like dandruff with a tiny small black dot in the center–it seemed ready to fall off completely at any time.) She sugested a biopsy during his next dental cleaning, but his teeth really don’t need cleaning and she’s talking about $500 US for both procedures, which I really can’t afford right now unless it’s absolutely necesary. I’m asking you as a second opinion. We will of course keep watch for any others and would proceed if they continue, but is surgury necessary here? I asked about removing it locally (at least the small one, and would be $200). Please advise and thank you for your time.

ps. the possiblities are:
cyst adenoma
apocrine cyst
basil cell (malignant or non)

Thanks

dog sore all over with difficulty getting up

My dog (11yo Lab/Dalmatian mix, male neutered) lately is not eating, seems very sore (more than usual as he has a bit of arthritus), having trouble getting up, very lethargic and yesterday and day before we found him down by the creek in the rain as if he was trying to kill himself. We have checked him for ticks. He has had skin cancers cut out in the past but we didnt get a biopsy to see if it were cancer. He is still drinking a bit of water but I don’t think he has done a poo for a few days. He has had no food for 3 days now. I want to take him to the vet but he is quite big and hard to get into the car. He is very miserable but not yelping in pain although he probably is.

dog with breathing difficulties

Seamus (13yo black Labrador, male) was panting easily with very little exertion for a few months. I took him to the vet who took xrays and said he had rough lungs and to keep in AC during summer. Then Seamus began making noises like he was trying to ‘hack up a furball’, this continued for awhile (nothing ever came up). More xrays and sonograms and the diagonosis is COPD (no one smokes but I don’t know what is first 6 years were like). He is on Tussigon (unk. mg.) 1/2 tab. at night, Terbutline 2.5 mg. 2 x a day and dexamethasone .25 mg 1/2 tablet every other day. Lately he wakes up at night and sounds like he is trying to spit up fluid. Does the diagonosis sound right and is there anything I can give him to ‘dry up’ his lungs? Thank you.
