Dog drinking a lot of water
My elderly dog (14yo Male German Short Haired Pointer) is drinking unusually large quantities of water at a time (1/2 large bowl is not uncommon). He acts like he is very thirsty and won’t be sidetracked. After he urinates, he immediately wants to replace the fluid and drinks a lot again. While it is difficult to tell, he does not seem to be urinating the same large quantity that he is drinking, but he is not bloated in any way to indicate retention, so this is just an observation. He is eating well - no change in diet. Could this be a UTI or something else. I am concerned. Thank you.
